Jimmy Walesのwikiaがフリーホスティング･サービスopenservingを始める。openserving上のMediaWikiの簡易版を使ってコンテンツを書き、ユーザーは必ずWikia.comにリンクを張ることを条件にサイトで発生した収入の100%を得ることが出来る。openservingには将来WordPressやDrupalなどのオープンソースのパブリッシング･ソフトウェアも含まれる可能性もありユーザーはひとつのパスワードでopenservingを利用するすべてのサイトにアクセスすることができるようになる。

Wikia gives away the tools and the revenue to its users. It requires only that sites built with the company's resources link to Wikia.com, which makes money through advertising.
