imagine cup2005の学生プログラムで優勝したロシアの同時セッション・プログラムomnimusicとwinampの開発者であるジャスティン・フランケルJustin Frankelによるninjam。レーテンシーの扱いが両者で違っていてonmnimusicはミュージシャン同士が同時に違和感なく演奏できるレーテンシーを50ミリ秒と割り出し、この範囲内にレーテンシーが収まるようにカーネル・ストリーミング技術により調整しているのに対してninjamはレーテンシーを解決するというよりそのまま利用している。
