ニューヨークタイムスがベストセラーAPIを公開

本屋をのぞけば本のカバーやタイトルの下にニューヨークタイムズ･ベストセラーの文字が躍る。しかしこれらベストセラーがどれだけベストセラー･リストに留まっていたとか、どれだけのポイント幅でランキングアップしたのかを知ることはできない。そこでNYTではベストセラーAPIを公開して、多くの開発者が興味を示すよう望んでいる。使い方としてはNYTのベストセラー・データを本のレコメンデーションに使うとか、アカデミックな例として時間の推移に伴う読者層の変化であるとかが考えられる。また本の人気度上昇と映画上映とかピューリッツァー賞入選などの関連するイベントとの比較などが考えられるとしている。

Our new Best Sellers API will help you answer those questions and more.
