firefoxチャイニーズ・エディションとjuice
中国の謀智網絡から中国人ユーザー向けにfirefoxのチャイニーズ・エディションが正式リリースされた。今回のリリースでは火狐魔鏡live marginsと呼ぶ機能が加えられておりサイドバーの形でウェブサイト上のテキストをドラッグしてきて検索したり、画像や音楽やビデオをドラッグしてきてサイドバー中で再生できる。このテキスト検索をサイドバーで行うことは北京ベースのlinkoolが開発したfirefoxプラグインであるJuiceを利用したもので、サードパーティー製のプラグインが初めてfirefoxに公式に取り込まれた記念すべきことと言える。juiceはテキスト検索にセマンティック技術を利用しており、サイドバーの形で検索や再検索が表示されることから本来のウェブ上での作業を妨げることがない。
