中国のガール･ハッカー集団China Girl Security Team

中国のハッカー集団といえば若い男性像を思い浮かべるが，そんなハッカーのイメージを裏切るようなガール･ハッカー集団が存在する。シックス・ゴールデン・フラワーズSix Golden Flowersは知られる限り中国で最初の女性ハッカー集団だったが，現在は解散してメンバーはそれぞれの道を歩んでいる。今はより新しく規模の大きな中国女子安全小組China Girl Security Teamがその空白を埋めるようになった。19歳のxiaotianに率いられるこのチームのウェブページは2007年5月12日に登録され現在メンバー数は2200名以上を数える。アメリカ陸軍情報部分析官でダーク･ビジターの著書のあるスコット･ヘンダーソンによれば中国ではハッカーはロックスター並みの扱いを受けていて，彼らはTシャツや帽子やサングラスなどのノベルティーを配布したり，時には映画化の話が持ち上がることさえあるという。数年前の中学生を対象にしたアンケートでは将来のキャリアとして3分の1の生徒がハッカーになりたいと答えており，社会的に認知されることは難しいにしても少女達もサブカルチャーの一端を担いたいと考えるのは自然なことだろう。

As far as I am aware, the first group of female Chinese hackers to break this mold were the Six Golden Flowers. The Golden Flowers have since broken up and gone their separate ways, but a new and larger group has taken their place, the Cn (China) Girl Security Team. The website for the China Girl Security Team was registered on 12 Mar 2007 and currently has 2,217 members. The leader of the group Xiao Tian, is only 19 years old.

"In China, being a hacker is sort of like being a rock star," Scott Henderson, a retired US army military intelligence analyst and author of The Dark Visitor: Inside the World of Chinese Hackers, told DNA. "They give out souvenir T-shirts, caps and sunglasses, and they're even close to landing movie deals!" A few years ago, a survey of middle-school children's career aspirations revealed that a third of them wanted to take to hacking. "Naturally, girls too want to be a big part of this sub-culture, although it's tough for them to be taken seriously," he adds.
