picasaを使い経緯度をexifに取り込む方法
普通のgps機能のついていないデジカメでは経緯度情報はEXIF中にない。ジオタギングgeotaggingするためにわざわざ高機能デジカメを買わずとも、picasaとgoogle earthを連携させることでjpegファイルのexifに経緯度情報を取り込める。地理情報を取り込んだjpegファイルの容量は若干増えることになる。また、オンラインでデジタル写真にgpsデータを取り込めるサービスにはroboGEOやtriptrackerがある。しかし現在、カメラメーカーのチップサイズのgpsユニットに対するコストは４ドル程度まで下がっていることから近い将来gps対応カメラが普及すると考えられている。
数码相机拍摄的照片虽然也是JPEG格式，但是文件中比普通的JPEG图片多了Exif（Exchangeable Image File/可交换图像文件）信息，Exif信息放置在我们熟知的JPEG文件的头部，也就是说Exif信息是镶嵌在JPEG图像文件格式内的一组拍摄参数，主要包括摄影时的光圈、快门、ISO、日期时间等各种与当时摄影条件相关的讯息，相机品牌型号，色彩编码，拍摄时录制的声音以及全球定位系统（GPS）等信息。具有Exif信息的JPEG图像文件要比普通的JPEG文件略大一点。

An easier way to geotag, at least in theory, is to take along a G.P.S. unit with the camera.
At the moment the only cameras with built-in G.P.S. receivers are specialized industrial models and two compact cameras made by Ricoh that are not sold in the United States. Owners of Nikon D2x, D2h and D200 cameras, three high-end digital models, can link their cameras to many hand-held G.P.S. units through a cable. For those without specialized cameras, getting the G.P.S. data into photo files is more roundabout. The photos and the string of G.P.S. data recorded during your wanderings must be married in a computer using a program like RoboGEO (www.robogeo.com), a process known as geocoding.
