新しいニューズ・リーダーIzyNews

IzyNewsはオンライン・サービスなのでダウンロードとインストールの必要がなく，IMAPプロトコルを使うメール・アプリケーションであればなんでもよいし、システムを選ばないのでマックでもウィンドウズでもリナックスでも使える。普通のRSSリーダーはコンテンツの更新があるか見つけるために同じRSSファイルを何度もダウンロードするが、IzyNewsは各メッセージにIDナンバーを振るので一度ダウンロードすれば後は同じIDナンバーはダウンロードをしない。また、atomも使えるようだ。

IzyNews and your eMail application communicate in a much more conservative way. When a new message is generated, it is tagged with a unique ID number. After the initial, one-time download of the content, nothing but that unique ID number is communicated again.
IzyNews is not restricted to a single application only. It works with every eMail applications that has implemented the IMAP protocol, be it on Windows, Linux, Mac, Pocket PC, Palm or anything else.
