ユニコード4.0が制定されたが，まだ足りない文字は，バリ文字（インドネシア），サウラシュトラ文字（南インド），チャクマ文字（バングラデッシュ）など，まだ100ぐらいある。SEIのデボラ・アンダーソンDeborah Andersonとユニコード・コンソーシアムのリック・マクゴワンRick McGowanによれば，世界のあらかたの金になりそうな言語はエンコードが終わってしまったので，新たな言語をエンコードすることへの企業の興味が薄れてきているという。

And it's not just dead languages. Tens of millions of people around the world speak modern languages -- like Balinese, Saurashtra and Chakma -- that are written in scripts that have yet to be assigned universal strings of numbers.
