新たなgmailのサイドバーオプション

gmailのgmail labsの新しいオプションとしてgoogleカレンダーとgoogle docsをサイドバーとして表示できる機能が加わった。カレンダーは自分が登録しているどのカレンダーでも見ることができるうえ、gmailから直接カレンダーにイベントを追加することが可能。docsは最後に編集した5件のドキュメントを見ることができ、表示方法もスプレッドシートのみ、プレゼンテーションのみといった様々な表示方法を採れる。同時にgmail labsではigoogleに使われているガジェットのurlを入力することでgmailのサイドバーに該当ガジェットを表示させることができるAdd any gadget by URLをリリースした。例えばfriendfeedのガジェットを表示させるにはAdd any gadget by URLを使用可能にした後、settingからgadgetをクリックしてhttp://friendfeed.com/embed/googlegadget/specをURLにコピーペーストすればいい。見にくいようであれば同時にNavbar drag and dropを使用可能にしておき、ドラッグアンドドロップで該当ガジェットを上部に移動させると見やすくなるだろう。
