firefoxとthunderbirdで使えるGrowl Notifications
macosxに限られるが、以前は複雑な手順を踏んでしか実現することのできなかったgrowlによるfirefoxダウンロード完了通知とthunderbirdの新着メール通知がアドオンGrowl Notificationsをインストールすると可能になる。xpiをダウンロードして、それぞれfirefoxとthunderbirdのアドオンウィンドウからインストールすればいい。
Official Growl project to integrate it with the Mozilla code base. You can now receive a Growl notification when a download starts, finishes, fails, or is canceled in Firefox. In Thunderbird, it displays a notification for new mail (displays the sender and subject). You can turn off these notifications by changing what notifications Growl displays in the Growl prefpane. Once you install and restart your browser, you should get a Growl notification indicating that the application has registered.
