縦書きモンゴル文字の文字処理ツール

モンゴルの国立モンゴル大学とモンゴル理工大学が共同で伝統的な縦書きモンゴル文字の文字処理を行うツールを開発した。まずスペルチェックを手掛け，今は数種類の伝統的モンゴル文字をデジタル化してユニコード完全対応のオープンタイプ･フォントを作る最終段階に入っている。文字処理ソフトは伝統的モンゴル文字による新聞にも使えるので伝統的モンゴル文字を使った新聞が増えるかもしれない。

the National University of Mongolia joined efforts with the Mongolian University of Science and Technology, to implement the “Development of E-tools for the Traditional Mongolian Script Text Processing” project. The project is supported by UNESCO.
Together with spell check software for the script, the team is now finalizing several digitized types of traditional script and genuine UNICODE-compatible open-type fonts.
