SKテレコムが携帯でTVが見れるDBMサービスを開始

韓国の携帯マーケットの半分以上を占める携帯オペレータであるSKテレコムの一部門であるTU Media Corpによる衛星を使った携帯電話でテレビがみれるサービスが始まった。今は20チャンネルだが，地上テレビ放送をリレーするようになればチャンネルは40以上に増える。5月中は無料で以後は月額13ドルほどでサービスを提供する。

TU Media plans to provide seven video and 20 audio channels forthe time being, and later expand the total number of channels to more than 40 when it can relay terrestrial TV programs.
The new service requires consumers to buy handsets equipped with the antenna and chips needed to receive the satellite signals.
TU Media will provide the satellite DMB service for free in Maybefore beginning a monthly fee of 13,000 won (13 US dollars) alongwith initial membership fee of 20,000 won.
