ミャンマー政府代表，KNUリーダーと会見
現在休戦中の17近くの反政府組織の代表が2004年早期に予定されている国民会議についてキン・ニュン首相と会見するためヤンゴンに集まっている。KNUはアウンサン・スーチーが含まれていないため，国民会議への参加を拒否している。KNUは1995年からモン州のモールメインで5回にわたって停戦に向けて政府と協議しているが合意に至っていない。KNUは55年近く独立国家のため政府と戦っている。
Representatives from nearly all seventeen ceasefire groups, including the United Wa State Army and the Kachin Independence Organization, are currently in Rangoon to meet with Prime Minister Gen Khin Nyunt about the National Convention, which will reportedly be held in early 2004.
